What data is on the dashboard?

The Research, Evaluation and Assessment department has provided the information below to help staff better understand the data included in the dashboard area of CFS.

Explore Math: 

Paper and pencil test that measures, among other things, college readiness in Math. The score ranges from 1 to 25 (N = Did not meet the college readiness benchmark/received a score less than 17, Y = Met the college readiness benchmark/received a 17 or higher).

Explore Read: 
Paper and pencil test that measures, among other things, college readiness in Reading. The score ranges from 1 to 25 (N = Did not meet the college readiness benchmark/received a score less than 15, Y = Met the college readiness benchmark/received a 15 or higher).

Explore Sci: 
Paper and pencil test that measures, among other things, college readiness in Science. The score ranges from 1 to 25 (N = Did not meet the college readiness benchmark/received a score less than 20, Y = Met the college readiness benchmark/received a 20 or higher).

Explore Eng: 
Paper and pencil test that measures, among other things, college readiness in English. The score ranges from 1 to 25 (N = Did not meet the college readiness benchmark/received a score less than 13, Y = Met the college readiness benchmark/received a 13 or higher).

Grad Math:
The Graduation-Required Assessment for Diploma (GRAD) tests measure proficiency on the Minnesota Academic Standards. Students must meet the requirements of these tests in order to be eligible to graduate. (No = Does not meet the requirement, Yes = Met the GRAD requirement for Math).

Grad Reading:
The Graduation-Required Assessment for Diploma (GRAD) tests measure proficiency on the Minnesota Academic Standards. Students must meet the requirements of these tests in order to be eligible to graduate. (No = Does not meet the requirement, Yes = Met the GRAD requirement for Reading).

Grad Writing:
The Graduation-Required Assessment for Diploma (GRAD) tests measure proficiency on the Minnesota Academic Standards. Students must meet the requirements of these tests in order to be eligible to graduate. (No = Does not meet the requirement, Yes = Met the GRAD requirement for Writing).

Kdg Math: 
The math portion of the Kindergarten assessment predicts 3rd grade MCA Math performance and is administered to each student individually by a testing cadre member. (D = Does not meet standards, P = Partially meets standards, M= Meets or Exceeds standards).


Kdg Read: 
The literacy portion of the Kindergarten assessment predicts 3rd grade MCA Reading performance and is administered to each student individually by a testing cadre member. (D = Does not meet standards, P = Partially meets standards, M= Meets or Exceeds standards).

MAP Math: 
Computerized adaptive test that predicts MCA Math performance (D = Does not meet standards, P = Partially meets standards, M= Meets or Exceeds standards).

MAP Read: 
Computerized adaptive test that predicts MCA Reading performance (D = Does not meet standards, P = Partially meets standards, M= Meets or Exceeds standards).

MCA Math: 
Computerized adaptive test that measures progress on students achievement with regard to Minnesota Academic standards in Math (D = Does not meet standards, P = Partially meets standards, M= Meets or Exceeds standards).

MCA Read: 
Computerized adaptive test that measures progress on students achievement with regard to Minnesota Academic standards in Reading (D = Does not meet standards, P = Partially meets standards, M= Meets or Exceeds standards).

Plan Eng: 
Paper and pencil test that measures, among other things, college readiness in English. The score ranges from 1 to 32 (N = Did not meet the college readiness benchmark/received a score less than 15, Y = Met the college readiness benchmark/received a 15 or higher).

Plan Math: 
Paper and pencil test that measures, among other things, college readiness in Math. The score ranges from 1 to 32 (N = Did not meet the college readiness benchmark/received a score less than 19, Y = Met the college readiness benchmark/received a 19 or higher).

Plan Read: 
Paper and pencil test that measures, among other things, college readiness in Reading. The score ranges from 1 to 32 (N = Did not meet the college readiness benchmark/received a score less than 17, Y = Met the college readiness benchmark/received a 17 or higher).

Plan Sci: 
Paper and pencil test that measures, among other things, college readiness in Science. The score ranges from 1 to 32 (N = Did not meet the college readiness benchmark/received a score less than 21, Y = Met the college readiness benchmark/received a 21 or higher).
